Gujarat shifts to the “sabse sasta” prepaid recharge plans. Gujarat enjoys sweet & simple connectivity with Uninor.

prepaid mobile recharge
As the mobile phone stats for the financial year 2011-12 come in, most major telecom operators seem to be losing out lakhs of subscribers in Gujarat, while Uninor registers a substantially major gain in their subscriber base. Uninor honchos credit the outstanding gain to best prepaid services and viable prepaid mobile recharge plans.

In what is being seen as a major turn of the telecom tide, many major and national telecom network providers have registered an actual and substantial decrease in mobile subscriber base in the generally profitable Gujarat circle for the fiscal cycle of 2011-12. The number of subscribers lost range anywhere from one lakh to seven and a half lakhs. On the other side of the coin stands Uninor, which has registered a staggering increase of 11 lakh in its subscriber base.

Jinesh Hegde, circle business head for Uninor in Gujarat attributes this stand out, awe-inspiring gain to the simple philosophy of constantly focusing on the quality of basic services, whilst sticking to the core brand proposition of providing “pay less, talk more” plans, “We have chosen to focus on the services that the mass market really wants - voice, SMS, basic internet - and offering these at most affordable rates. At the same time, we constantly drive our own costs down to be able to sustain this affordability position. We also work very hard on our distribution and retail."

Shocking Mobile Phone stats for Gujarat – Uninor scores big as other operators dwindle

While most telecoms see an unforeseen drop in cellular customers in the state, Uninor subscriber numbers swell up

In what is supposed to be one of the major upsets in any circle in the Indian telecom sector, Gujarat actually registered declines in mobile phone users for many telecom companies, reports Indian Express. According to data published by industry body, Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), telecom companies with a major presence in the western circles lost anywhere between 1 to a startling 7 lakh customers in fiscal year 2012-13.

On the flipside, Uninor registered a more than healthy gain of 11 lakh customers. The cell phone service ended the fiscal year 2012-13 with over 49 lakh customers. Jinesh Hegde, circle business head for Uninor in Gujarat attributes this stand out, awe-inspiring gain to the simple philosophy of constantly focusing on the quality of basic services, whilst sticking to the core brand proposition of providing “pay less, talk more” top up offers, “We have chosen to focus on the services that the mass market really wants - voice, SMS, basic internet - and offering these at most affordable rates. At the same time, we constantly drive our own costs down to be able to sustain this affordability position. We also work very hard on our distribution and retail."

No points for guessing the most downloaded mobile wallpaper celeb

Katrina Kaif sizzles on the big screen, and graces the mobile phone wallpapers of most phones.
mobile phone wallpaper

What does a person’s mobile phone wallpaper represent? It does tell a lot about him/her – it gives away his likes and interests, his perception of beauty and of the world, and what kind of an atmosphere he wants to surround him most of the time. It also gives away what or who fulfils (or at least comes close to fulfilling) his idea of an ideal – perfection. In most cases, it is Katrina Kaif.

The angelic beauty hailing all the way from United Kingdom tops the list of celebs that are most searched for mobile wallpaper downloads – and this is not even the first time she has achieved this accolade, it’s the Queen of Bollywood’s fourth year straight on the top of the most downloaded list, and neither is this throne exclusive to mobile phones or mobile wallpapers – it is all around – Katrina Kaif is the most searched celeb on Google, be it for HD wallpapers, for desktop wallpapers or mobile phone wallpapers.

While the actor who made was the leading lady of Bollywood blockbusters such as Welcome, Rajneeti, Singh is Kinng, Ajab Prem Ki Kajab Kahani, Race, among others, leads the list of searches and mobile wallpaper wallpapers, other celebs who figure among the top of the list are Indian / Bollywood actors Hrithik Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka, Alia Bhatt, Sherlyn Chopra, Zarine Khan, Bipasha Basu, John Abraham, Aishwarya Rai Bachhan, Sunny Leone (yeah, we have to include her in the list, as she is now part of the Bollywood circle). Among international celebs to top that list are Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Tom Cruise, Jennifer Lawrence, Justin Bieber, Kim Kadarshian, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Lindsay Lohan, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Aniston, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Megan Fox, and Lady Gaga.

In addition to these, animated wallpapers for wallpapers have also seen rise in downloads, the top being natural scenery, water drops and animated aquariums. Another recent addition to the animated mobile wallpapers are the daily verses from the Holy Bible, as the number of apps offering exclusively verses from the Bible have increased in the recent months.
